I recently tried to purchase a pelican 1450 orange case from opticsplanet website. The website did not inform me that the item I wanted was not in stock. They took all my credit card information and did not get back to me until I called them to check on the status. Only then, I was informed that what I ordered was not available. And they already charged the transaction to my credit card. How can the store charge for something they could not provide ? This is deceiving the customers !

Advice for customers who wish to purchase from opticsplanet – I would urge customers NOT to fully believe what you see on their website. Its not updated. The process of purchasing is still very manual whereby all the information you submit goes to someone at their backline to manually process your order. Yes, this includes your credit card information too. How secure can that be ?

It has really caused much hassle for me to keep calling up the bank to ensure that the amount was not charged to my credit card.

If you really must purchase from opticsplanet, I would advise to please do a courtesy call to them to check that the physical stock is available and pay via paypal.

This is a great case. Water tight, air tight and shock resistant. This case perfectly fits my SLR with enough room for batteries, CF cards and other accessories as well. I only gave it 4 stars though because I bought mine 6 months ago for $1,000,000 and Amazon won’t refund me the $999,965.67 difference cause its past 90-days. Boy I wish I had waited.
